My recent trip to Hong Kong wasn't really my first time in the country but it was the most memorable one since it was my first trip out of my sweat and hard work in the office and I must say it was quite rewarding. It made me feel motivated to go to work again and save for another trip. This time, I went with my friends and didn't get any group tour package. We explored the city by ourselves. Thanks to the internet for handy recommendations and thank God we didn't lose track of our directions.
Sharing below our detailed and jam-packed 5D4N Hong Kong - Macau Itinerary. Note that we didn't really follow everything since we were too tired of walking, commuting, staying up late and making the most of our stay. We were in the night markets and food stalls every night so we didn't get to wake up early the following days. Haha But if you plan to follow this itinerary religiously, reserve your night market shopping and food exploration on Day 4 and sleep early so you won't miss your morning schedule, or else you would have to sacrifice some places just as we did.
If you are traveling in a group of 8, you may try this Airbnb apartment we stayed when we were there, it is along Nathan Road https://eatsaillove.blogspot.com/2017/05/review-airbnb-apartment-for-8-pax-at.html
(In Day 2, we skipped Avenue of Stars & The Peak in the morning because we were that tired of staying late roaming the night market streets the previous night. We skipped symphony of lights as well since it was raining and we were already hungry and tired.)
(In Day 3, since it was raining in Macau when we arrived, after having lunch at The Fisherman's Wharf, we headed to The Venetian. We just asked the waiter from the restaurant where we could ride the free shuttle bus to The Venetian and he pointed out Sands Macao which was just nearby. We just went to the Senado Square in the afternoon. We skipped the Jumbo Floating Restaurant because we got tired of walking the whole day in Macau.)
