Things I Like About You

Sharing to you what I have found on my blog back in 2009. I was inspired by the scene in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You where Kat (Julia Stiles) recited a poem she made with the same title as the movie so I also made my own version of it back then. I was quite imaginative before and words just flow whenever I feel like writing but I think I'm not that effective if I'd be a poet now. You may find the poem corny but I'm still sharing this for compilation/remembrance even if I feel the same way! (haha!) If you still haven't watched that movie and haven't heard about it yet, well, it is a teen romantic comedy-drama film and a modernization of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. So, here's the poem:

31st of July, 2009
I like the way you listen, as if you want to know more.
I like it when you sing; I like the way you care.
I like the way you make me laugh and the way you make me feel comfortable.
I like the way you start a conversation, may it be in the most sensible form.
I like the way you smile; I like it when you talk.
I like it when I hear my name and the fact that it’s you who called.
But most thing, I like it when I’m with you—not minding the time, not minding the people, just enjoying it all.

Hip Katsu

During our Hong Kong trip with my cousins last weekend, we had our free time to go malling at Harbour City Mall after our pampering time in the hotel. Talking about the largest mall in Kowloon, it wasn't a joke to stroll around with an empty tummy. It was past lunch time and we were looking for a place to eat. We found this Japanese Restaurant to feed our sushi cravings instantly.

They have a lot of choices for their katsu sets. What I've just showed are just a fingertip of the many choices they serve. The value for money is around HK$ 150-300 but what we paid for was all worth it!

Zubuchon

After a tourist trip to famous attractions in Cebu City, Philippines, we headed to Escario St. to try the famous lechon in the country.

Every Filipino gatherings or events would not be complete without Lechon in their menu. The whole country has it, but only Cebu City has this famous and mouth-watering lechon. What makes it different from other lechon is that it has this delicious taste inside and out.

They say this is the best to pair with the lechon. So true! You should try it yourself and erase the negative impression for kamias. At first, it doesn't sound good to have a kamias shake for a drink. I mean, it sounds too ordinary and sour. It is usually added to Sinigang (it is a sour Filipino soup with fish or pork) and I can't imagine drinking it.

Kamias is rich in Vitamin C and is used in India for its anti-fat properties.

I'm definitely coming back! :)
